Lots of EML Papers

If one is interested in learning about railguns, coilguns or related issues then the internet does not have much to offer. The IEEE has all the good publications on this subject, and they are not free. The bi-annual Electromagnetic Launch Symposium. publishes many papers in the IEEE transactions on magnetics . These papers are available online to IEEE Magnetics Society members and cover the last several decades of electromagnetic propulsion research. Many academic libraries and university computer labs may have subscriptions to the online archives as well.

 

Below is a list of what I believe are all the papers published by the IEEE Magnetics Society from the Electromagnetic Launch Symposium. This list was generated automatically by a C++ program that I wrote to collect the metadata from my copies of these papers. Furthermore, the metadata was entered into the pdf copies of these papers by my. So, it is certain that errors are present in this list. I only list the primary author of each paper, most of these papers have several authors. Also, there is a chance that some unrelated papers made the list. In fact some of the papers presented at the Electromagnetic Launch Symposium don't always have much to do with electromagnetic launch.
